    The English and German Philology Department of the University of Extremadura is divided in two main areas, English Philology and German Philology. Its staff teaches at the Facultad de Filosofía y Letras (Humanities College) and at the Facultad de Estudios Empresariales y Turismo (Tourism and Business College), both located on the Cáceres campus.

    At present, the main receivers of the Department's teaching are the students of the English Philology degree. Moreover, the Department is responsible for the teaching of several subjects in other degrees such as Hispanic Philology, French Philology, Classical Languages Philology, Portuguese Philology, Humanities, Geography, History, Art History, and Theory of Literature and Comparative Literature.
